The longest work surge of the entire program starts on September 15.
The seventh surge will now include a total shutdown this weekend between Grosvenor and Shady Grove stations.
And permanently ending late-night weekend service.

Patrick Lavin is coming to Metro from New York City Transit.
They are testing the signs at Metro Center, Gallery Place, L’Enfant Plaza, and Union Station.
Metro rail, bus, and access services will be closed Saturday and Sunday.
