Vibrant energy filled the Woodland Terrace community on Wednesday as children from the area clambered over obstacle courses, ate burgers and fried fish, got their faces painted, and chalked the sidewalks as a part of Woodland’s first annual petting zoo.

There Is One More Lesser Kudu At The National Zoo
The Smithsonian National Zoo has welcomed a calf to the lesser kudu family.
For the fourth time since December 2015, the Smithsonian’s National Zoo prehensile-tailed porcupines Bess and Clark brought life into the world.
The pups are spending most of their time in their nest as their eyes have yet to open, zoo officials say.
