Street vending is awesome, that’s for sure. But if there’s one issue that we hear over and over, its that the system for getting licensed to operate as a street vendor isn’t exactly the easiest path to navigate, depriving us citizens of our god-given American right to enjoy a variety of fast, delicious lunches. Of course, such gastronomical tyranny can’t be eliminated if the populace doesn’t voice their displeasure to those in charge of enforcing such unfair bounds. To that end, the District’s Department of Consumer and Regulatory Affairs introduced an updated version of its Street Vending Survey this morning. The quick survey seeks residents’ input in order to “make the District a leader in innovative street vending options.” Last time this survey was rolled out in 2006, it only got a measly 480 responses. We can certainly do better than that, right? Access the survey here and do your democratic duty.
