The Curbside Cookoff kicked off yesterday. If you’re planning to stop by today, word from BYT is that Friday’s crowds have been even bigger than yesterday, so expect trucks to start selling out by 7 p.m.
During DCist’s visit, we found out about Sabor’a Street, a new truck that will soon hit the streets; it will be serving up Latin-inspired street food items like tacos and arepas. The truck will be run by husband-and-wife team Jorge Pimentel and Christine Sarapu. Pimentel has spent the last five years working at Mark and Orlando’s, Masa 14 and Commonwealth, and Sarapu is a practicing lawyer. You can follow them @saborastreet to find out more details.
