We had hoped that Charlie Sheen’s brief visit to the District could be quickly forgotten; apparently it won’t be. The Post reports that the D.C. police escort Sheen received from Dulles to Constitution Hall remains a source of both mystery and controversy. How exactly did Sheen land such an escort? Who paid for it? Has the manpower needed to escort touring celebrities been appropriately factored into the calculation leading to the conclusion that the police force needs to stay above 3,800 officers? Can I get one too?
Yeah, it looks like we’ll be talking about Sheen for a few more days.
