JAZZ: Jazz in the Garden at The National Gallery of Art (Constitution Avenue NW between 7th and 9th Streets) kicks off its 2011 summer outdoor jazz series with a performance by Origem. 5-8:30 p.m. Free.

FOOD & DRINK: Hungry for history? Head to Gadsby’s Tavern (138 North Royal Street, Alexandria) tonight for a Historic Beer Dinner, offering a stop in the Gadsby’s Tavern Museum, followed by beers from Yards Brewing and paired with a four-course meal. 7-9 p.m. $85.

THEATER:: Garrison Keillor brings A Prarie Home Companion to Wolf Trap (1645 Trap Road, Vienna, VA) tonight (8 p.m.) and tomorrow (5:45 p.m.), with stories from Lake Wobegon and Guy Noir, and special musical guests. $25-$54.

FOOD & DRINK: Top Chef: The Tour brings Quickfire cooking challenges between Carla Hall, Ariane Duarte and Spike Mendelsohn to Eastern Market (7th Street and North Carolina Avenue SE) this Saturday and Sunday. Come heckle cheer them on at 10:30 a.m., 12 p.m., and 1:30 p.m.

>> Head to the Columbia Heights Community Marketplace for strawberries, rhubarb, free bison bones for doggies, asparagus, goat cheese, spring greens and live music on capoeira instruments (11:30 a.m.-12:30 p.m.) at the Civic Plaza (14th Street and Park Road NW). 9 a.m.-2 p.m.

>> Bayou Bakery (1515 N. Courthouse Road, Arlington) is hosting crawfish boils this Saturday and Sunday, and welcomes in Rolling Thunder riders for 10 percent off their checks. 5-7 p.m. $15.

PARTY: Pool party! Throw on your flip flops for the first pool party of the year at the Capitol Skyline Hotel (10 I Street SW). DJs and food trucks (Sweetflow Mobile and the Fojol Bros) will also be on hand. 11 a.m.- 9 p.m. $15.

MOVIE: The National Gallery of Art screens three award winning films this Saturday (Twice Upon a Garden, Expansive Grounds and Milton Glaser: To Inform and Delight) from Montreal’s 2010 International Festival of Films on Art. 2:30 p.m. Free.

ART: Free Summer Saturdays begin at the Corcoran (500 17th Street NW) this weekend. Come see interdisciplinary artist Chajana denHarder perform “Body,” where she writes on and manipulates eight life-size body casts. 2 p.m. Free.

MUSIC: B.B. King, Yolanda Adams, Kris Allen (American Idol), the National Symphony Orchestra, the U.S. Navy Band Sea Chanters and others perform at the Memorial Day Concert at the U.S. Capitol. Watch it live from your sofa on PBS from 8-9:30 p.m.

MONDAY, MEMORIAL DAY

PARADE: American veterans will march down Constitution Avenue with bands, floats and balloons during the National Memorial Day Parade. 2 p.m. Free.

FOOD & DRINK: Policy (904 14th Street NW) is throwing a beer and crab fest this Monday. Throw back Heavy Seas, Flying Dog, Dogfish Head, DC Brau and Port City brews while you munch on whole crabs, crab cakes and soft shell crabs. 12-5 p.m.

>> Café Saint-Ex (1847 14th Street NW) presents a Memorial Day Chili Cook-Off, complete with a hog dog eating contest, kids’ activities and a Peroni Beer Truck. 11 a.m.-5 p.m.
