As if we haven’t had enough water falling from the sky in recent days, the National Weather Service has now extended a Flash Flood Watch that’s been in effect over the last couple of days until midnight tonight. Previously, the watch was only scheduled to last until this afternoon.

The rain won’t be ending with the flood watch, though: in the National Weather Service’s seven-day forecast, the word “showers” appears 16 times.
