Are any of these yours?

Earlier this week D.C. Police Chief Cathy Lanier announced the arrest of 16 people associated with 13 business accused of dealing in stolen electronic gadgets. The arrests followed a spike in the number of robberies of things like iPhones and iPads.

According to an inventory of the gadgets recovered, police now have 487 cell phones, seven iPads, 16 other notebooks and tablets, and various other electronic goods like DVRs and GPS units in their possession, and they’re asking their rightful owners to step forward. (Police also seized a BB gun, assorted illegal drugs and “expired food.” That stuff’s probably not for the taking.)

So if you’ve been the victim of a robbery in the past few months, email stolen.property@dc.gov with proof of ownership and you may just get that stolen iPhone back.
