It’s the holiday season, so that means you’re on the search—possibly at the last minute—for gifts for friends and family. Over the course of the next few weeks, we’re going to dig up the D.C.-made and D.C.-themed gifts that we’d love to get—and would be sure to give. If anything catches your eye that you think would be worth including, feel free to send it along.
We love maps, and we certainly enjoy sipping on a fine liquor after a long day. Boston-based theuncommongreen has found a way to merge the two with a line of 11-ounce glasses etched with the maps of 12 different U.S. cities. A pair of the glasses costs $25, and would serve as a faithful container for a Gin Rickey (D.C.’s official cocktail) made with Green Hat Gin (D.C. first locally-distilled liquor in over a century).
Though not yet available for D.C., soon you’ll also be able to get a 24-ounce glass carafe too.
