A dog was apparently stolen from a Kingman Park home in Northeast D.C. yesterday, and a reward is being offered for her safe return.

Friend of the dog’s owner Matt Holland says the home on D Street NE was broken into yesterday sometime between noon and 5 p.m. Expensive gadgets and valuables were taken from the home, and Margo — a two-and-a-half-year-old cream-colored Cockapoo — was gone. Holland says it appears the dog was stolen as her create was open, and “a recyclable bag containing her usual food and toys was also taken.”

“Our friend is absolutely devastated, and we’re trying to do everything we can to help find her and bring her home,” Holland said via email.

The daily crime report for the Fifth District confirmed that a burglary was reported at this address.

A $10,000 reward is being offered for the safe return of Margo — who is microchipped, spayed, weighs between 25 and 30 pounds, and was last seen wearing a black and white collar with red trim — no questions asked. Anyone with information is asked to contact the Metropolitan Police Department’s tip line at 202-727-9099.
