This morning, Metrorail commuters returned to the Blue, Orange, and Silver Line trains between Eastern Market and L’Enfant Plaza, following another smoke incident yesterday afternoon. Metro has also reopened Federal Center SW and Capitol South stations, which closed for the rest of the day after the incident.

Last night, Metro installed new third-rail equipment at Federal Center SW, according to a release.
