Organizers of the Women’s March on Washington announced today that Janelle Monáe is headlining Saturday’s event.

“I am honored to join this critical movement to bring justice and equality to all,” Monáe said in a release. “Music has always been a powerful tool for galvanizing unity and I believe that singing and standing together, our voices will be stronger than any force that tries to repress us.”

About a dozen other entertainers will hit the stage as well including Maxwell, Angelique Kidjo, Beverly Bond, and MC Lyte.

“We are here because women are every bit as capable if not more able to pursue any goal they set forth for themselves. Were it not for the limitless depths of their love we would not be the men that we are,” Maxwell said.

More than 150 artists and celebrities—including Scarlett Johansson, Katy Perry, Cher, and Julieanne Moore— are either supporting or attending the march.

“Artists are the gatekeepers of truth and we are lucky to have these brilliant and brave artist stand in solidarity” with the march, said the event’s artistic director Paola Mendoza.

After an ad-hoc, grassroots start, Planned Parenthood announced in late December that it is partnering with the march’s organizers, and Gloria Steinem and Harry Belafonte will serve as honorary co-chairs.

Elsewhere in D.C., Solange is performing at Busboys and Poet’s Peace Ball tomorrow, which is slated to have several celebrities and activists in attendance.

Meanwhile, President-elect Donald Trump has managed to book very few entertainers including Toby Keith and 3 Doors Down for his inaugural festivities.
