We may not be all super cool like Arlington or maybe we are, but in more quantifiable news: Washingtonians can ditch their car with fewer qualms than residents of most cities.

D.C. is the fourth-best city in the U.S. to go car-less, according to a Redfin report that amalgamated Walk, Bike, and Transit scores to come up with the ranking. The District comes out behind San Francisco, New York, and Boston.

A report from a few years back found that nearly 40 percent of D.C. households are car-less.

D.C. fared the best in Redfin’s Transit Score, coming in 4th—though it’s hard to imagine they were able to quantify the headaches involved with a transit system that calls its budget a “Reality Check.” The city placed 5th and 7th in Bike and Walk scores, respectively.
