Crowds were smaller than over the weekend, but hundreds of protesters still gathered around Lafayette Square and a section of 16th Street.

Crowds were much smaller on the 11th consecutive night of protests in the city compared to the weekend. Those that did turnout persisted through the evening.

In some ways, the city was literally built for this moment.
