A judge in Fairfax County declared that convicted sniper John Allen Muhammad can be brought to trial for terrorism and murder and is not in double jeopardy.
The Post reports that Raymond Morrogh, the deputy commonwealth’s attorney, said the county has a right to prosecute crimes committed within its jurisdiction. “It wasn’t just a charge of killing more than one person in three years,” he said. “There were specific victims.”
But the matter is by no means over. This morning, the judge will hear additional pre-trial motions.
