Are you in need of an armoire with “numerous shelves and two large cabinets for storage.” Can you move it? (It’s big.) Then you should contact an Olympic gymnast-turned-Treasury Department civil servant.

Keri Strug, whose gold medal performance was the triumph of the 1996 Atlanta games, is moving out of the Meridian Court House Commons in Arlington and needs to sell her furniture. But there is one feature that may make the $150 price worth the expense and transportation toil. The armoire came from TLC’s popular “Trading Spaces” program, which filmed an episode in Strug’s apartment.

With Strug moving out of the Meridian, DCist wants to prepare her for some coming pain. Reserving the complex’s malodorous loading dock is a hassle, and you only get two hours to use it. DCist helped a friend move out of the massive N. 15th Street complex a few weeks back and we were stressed not only to meet their time limit, but were also harassed for using the freight elevator by a Bulgarian woman who didn’t speak English. Her naked child was running around complicating the move-out.
