Yet another Washington-focused blog is up and running on the Web. Dcist.com officially made its debut last week, proclaiming its intent to cover news, sports, nightlife and culture in and around the nation’s capital with a slant toward young people.

“We will be surveying what’s in local media and what’s on the Web and also doing some original reporting,” said Rob Goodspeed, 22, one of the site’s two editors.

The site is part of a family of city guides or blogs (short for Web logs) that includes an established site in New York, Gothamist.com.
