An alert DCist reader informs us that the Post’s Animal Watch is online after we noted that it was not available. You can find this week’s here, through the Extras section. But we still want to note that on washingtonpost.com, easy links to Animal Report from the “Regular Features” section come up with nothing.

And the report on health code violations that appears in the print edition of the District Weekly is not posted online, as far as we can tell. So if you want to learn about major plumbing problems and “improper storage of food products” at Yum’s Chinese carryout at 14th and T streets NW, or the lack of a “certified food superviser” at the Einstein Bros. Bagels on Wisconsin Avenue, you’ll have to find it buried in the District Weekly’s print edition.

We appreciate those hard-working Post staffers who have to trudge through municipal public filings. Cheers to you! DCist, in a former life, had to rifle through corporate bankruptcy filings in a Detroit federal courthouse to meet newsroom demands. We know your pain.
