Considering the zombie fascination that a good number of DCist’s friends and readers have, we would be remiss to not give a special mention the new zombie movie, “Shaun of the Dead,” opening today. (Technically it opened at 12:01 a.m. at the Georgetown Lowe’s, but who’s counting the overachievers.)

Now, this is not just any zombie movie. It is a British zombie comedy. Wait, no, a “romantic” British zombie comedy. Romantically funny zombies with a Brit twist? Clearly this brings new meaning to “bring out yer dead.”

Shaun of the Dead is an everyday tale of life, love and the living dead focusing on a group of friends who encounter a literal night from hell at their local pub, under attack from a zombie invasion.

The Post seems to love it. And frankly, zombies and pints? How could one not like this combination? Sounds like a plan to DCist.
