DCSOB points out a poll showing Ralph Nader only five points behind President Bush in the District of Columbia. Massachusetts Sen. John Kerry is way ahead.
DCist would like to point out that although Kerry is way ahead, Chef Geoff Tracy, husband of NBC’s Norah O’Donnell, is gaining on President Bush. When we checked on Monday, the Georgetown graduate was only down by 10-15 votes at the 13th Street Chef Geoff’s. We don’t know if there may be any voter fraud here, as election monitors have not been stationed at the restaurant.
Just a few weeks ago when Jenna Bush was a regular patron at Smith Point in Georgetown, the president was running neck-and-neck with Kerry according to one neighborhood poll. Now that Jenna is out on the campaign trail, the president may have lost his chance to secure the Georgetown vote. The poll at Clyde’s puts the Massachusetts senator ahead by a couple hundred votes. DCist will try to keep an eye on both polls as Election Day nears.
