Tuesday’s elections are fast approaching. President Bush and Sen. Kerry are flying around the country to solidify their respective bases, Congressional candidates are going into the home stretches of their campaigns, and here in the nation’s capital, with many politicos away hob-nobbing with constituents, we’re trying to plan our Election Night outings around town.

As we’ve said before, DCist will be bringing you full election coverage, so stay tuned here for all the latest, especially for our Election Night Viewer Guide. So when Judy Woodruff comes on air with some late breaking news about the race in New Mexico’s 1st district and Jeff Greenfield comes up with some instant analysis about what that means for the political future Gov. Bill Richardson, you’ll have a better idea of what they’re talking about.

In the meantime, DCist would like to point you to some of our sibling sites for some of their political coverage.

>> Chicagoist covers the final debate between Illinois Senate candidates Barack Obama (D) and Alan Keyes (R), who is pictured here. There are, of course, some great lines. Chicagoist also points us in the direction of an Alan Keyes photo page where the past presidential candidate and failed MSNBC talking head wears a cowboy hat.

Additionally, Chicagoist looks at one of the most watched House races in the country, that of Rep. Phil Crane (R-Ill.) and Democratic challenger Melissa Bean. Crane, who is the longest serving Republican in the House, is in the race of his life to retain his 8th district seat for another term.

>> Then SFist interviews the Republican who is challenging San Francisco’s Nancy Pelosi, the Democratic leader of the House. Running against Pelosi in San Francisco is like trying to beat D.C.’s House delegate, Eleanor Holmes Norton. This guy is trying to do just that, however, despite the considerable obstacles.

Also, SFist has the lowdown on all of California’s ballot initiatives.
