D.C. statehood activists yesterday unfurled a giant District of Columbia flag on the Dumbarton Bridge yesterday. The image is from a short video posted to Mike Flugennock’s website mikey ‘zine. The video shows many people honking in support of the display of the massive flag.
The group included D.C. Statehood Green Party shadow representative candidate Adam Eidinger, whose campaign for Shadow Representative languished in October after a flurry of activity earlier in the fall. According to his campaign website, Eidinger was in Philadelphia for two weeks supporting his wife who was facing charges stemming from a protest at the 2000 RNC convention in that city. (She was found not guilty of all charges.)
