Well, friends, it’s been quite a week. After the ups and downs of the election and Thursday’s O.C. premiere, we’re not sure our emotions can handle the wild rollercoaster ride any longer. That’s why it’s more important than ever to get out there and have a good time this weekend.

FRIDAY:

SATURDAY:
>> Check out some Japanese film classics at the Annual Old Town Kurosawa Film Festival in Alexandria. Rashomon plays at 7 p.m.; the Seven Samurai is at 9 p.m..

>> From 12-5 p.m., the Kennedy Center presents the Multicultural Children’s Book Fair. There’ll be series of readings, book signings and other activities with authors.

>> It’s wine time! The 19th Annual Holiday Wine Tasting takes place from 2-6 p.m. on Saturday afternoon at the L’Enfant Plaza Hotel. Over 250 wines from all over the world will be available to taste and order. $40 at the door.

SUNDAY:
>> Everclear plays the 9:30 Club. Doors open at 9 p.m. $25.
