A few goodies to make your week go by just a little bit faster…

>> It may be 60 degrees on this fine November day, but that’s not going to stop the folks over at the National Gallery of Art’s Sculpture Garden from opening their annual skating rink. Go on over and have a twirl. 10 a.m.-11 p.m.; $7 for adults.

>> Damon Gough (aka Badly Drawn Boy), plays the 9:30 Club this evening. Famous for moody performances and shimmery, folky pop, BDB will no doubt be playing tunes from “The Hour of Bewilderbeast,” which won him the Mercury Prize in 2000, and the “About A Boy” soundtrack. Doors open 7:30 p.m.; $20.

>> Tonight’s your last chance to catch the Pulitzer Prize-winning play, “Anna in the Tropics,” over at the Arena Stage. Directed by Jo Bonney and starring Felix Solis and Mateo Gomez, the play (written by Nilo Cruz) takes place 1929 in a Cuban-American cigar factory. 7:30 p.m.; tickets are $41-60.
