A follow up on our earlier posting that hot blogger band The Arcade Fire was making their way towards our fair city late January: The Ghost of Gordon Sumner and The Upstate Life have done a wee bit of research and discovered the exact location and date of the sure to be sold-out show.

The band will be playing the 9:30 Club on Sunday, January 30th. Tickets will be $12 (not including that pesky service charge if you order them online). They’re already on sale at Tickets.com, even though the show isn’t yet listed on the 9:30 Club web site. We’d advise getting your tickets now – although the 9:30 Club is a bigger venue than most the band has been playing on their recent tour, they’ve been selling out like the proverbial hotcakes all over the country.

For the record, Bright Eyes are also playing the 9:30 Club on January 29th; although, yet again, the show hasn’t been announced on the club’s site, you can purchase tickets at Tickets.com.
