Baseball Deal Approved: As expected, the council approved the last-minute baseball deal reached on Monday. The Nationals will begin playing at RFK next spring, and in a brand new stadium near the Anacostia river in 2008.

Crashed Tanker Briefly Closes I-395: Officials are still working to clean up an early morning accident which closed I-395 for over two hours early this morning. NBC4 has photos and reports the highway is now open in both directions, and the AP and the Post have stories released at 7:30 a.m., describing the accident. The AP reports WMATA officials have said bus riders heading to the Pentagon should expect delays and the Post reports the truck’s driver has died.

Charles County Arson Lit by Racing Club: The massive $10 million arson in Charles County, Md. was lit by a street-racing club which calls themselves the “Unseen Cavaliers,” the W. Times and the Post report. The Times reports a U.S. Attorney said in court that “This was a well-planned, organized group of adults who met together in advance to build what they wanted to have seem like a great event, something that would bring fame to their group.”
