No, no, no, The Washington Post’s storied building at 15th and L streets NW wasn’t targeted by bombers, nor was there really a bomb at all. But as always, “suspicious” packages must be investigated.
The AP, via WJLA, reports that police, responding to the report of a suspicious package inside a Post apartment guide distribution box at 18th and L streets NW, detonated the suspicious package, along with the apartment guides.
The suspicious package turned out to be harmless, and we’re sure the folks over at Charles E. Smith are distraught over the fact that a number of apartment guides are damaged or destroyed.
Have you ever found those apartment guides useful? We prefer Craigslist, but we know there are people out there who would beg to differ.
