This DCist has no formal training in climatology and in high school biology, we didn’t do so hot on the test covering the Krebs cycle, but we think that the bout of warm weather we’ve had for the first half of this month may be confusing the trees. When we were up in Battery Kemble Park yesterday, we could have sworn we saw trees budding, getting ready for spring. Perhaps we’re just ignorant and confused, but maybe you can see some buds on the tree in this photo.
Has anyone seen any strange biological activity associated with the warm weather? But of course, the warm weather is gone. Get ready for 20s and 30s for the rest of the week.
