In the wake of the collapse of WHFS, Infinity sister station 106.7 WJFK has announced that the Sports Junkies, last heard as morning show hosts on HFS, will return to JFK in the 10:30 AM to 2 PM slot today. The move comes as no surprise, as the Junkies had been on JFK for many years, most recently in the timeslot occupied by Ron & Fez. Meanwhile, conservative talk show host Bill O’Reilly will be moved to the ratings-challenged 11 PM slot. Considering the fact that longtime JFK personalities Don & Mike are open with their derision for “fake news guy” O’Reilly, that move comes as no surprise.

In other radio news, Progressive Talk 1260 debuted in the D.C. market yesterday. The channel will carry programs from Air America, as well as The Ed Shultz Show and, oddly, Imus in the Morning. Air America personality Al Franken will be broadcasting this week from the Mandarin Oriental, covering the inauguration. Though anything is possible, DCist doubts Franken has purchased the Hotel’s $200,500 inaugural package.
