Perhaps we were blinded by all of the orange we saw at the Gates in New York’s Central Park this past weekend, but we think the City Paper has adopted the marketing tactics of Yellow Cab and The Washington Times. Has the City Paper gotten new distribution bins? We think so. The bins are black with an orange window frame.

So we guess orange is in. Everywhere it seems. Despite its name, Yellow Cab of the District of Columbia has a decidedly non-yellow color scheme. In fact, it looks like Yellow Cab orange is slightly darker than Christo orange. And then The W. Times has had their Bolder and Brighter marketing campaign up and running for a while, all with a basic orange theme. What Bolder and Brighter actually means is a whole other story. Perhaps we need John Gorenfeld to decipher if there are any connections between the color orange and Rev. Sun Myung Moon.
