The Washington Post is reporting that a mail facility at the Pentagon has tested positive for anthrax:

The disclosure meant that three separate mail facilities are now being evaluated for possible biological contamination — the Pentagon facility where a sample tested positive, the V Street center, and a Department of Defense mailroom on Leesburg Pike in Fairfax County where hundreds of people underwent a lockdown yesterday after a sensor was triggered.

The Post is clear to note the mail processing facility on V Street handles mail that has already been irradiated somewhere in New Jersey. Meanwhile, the AP reports a powdery substance found in an IRS building was not anthrax, but “some type of poison.” That AP story also reports that “Hazardous materials crews also responded Tuesday morning to CNN’s offices in the 800 block of First Street, NE, because of a report of a suspicious package,” but the package was found to have the harmless chemical ammonium phosphate on it.
