Don’t forget to check out our music and arts agendas for other events going on this Memorial Day weekend (especially since this weekend is your last chance to see a lot of great exhibitions).

FRIDAY:
>> We wrote about the outdoor Shakespeare Free for All earlier in the week, and still recommend you check out the staging of A Midsummer Night’s Dream. Shows start at 7:30 p.m. and run through June 5.

>> Students from the Berklee College of Music will be performing at the Kennedy Center’s Terrace Theater. Free, 6 p.m.

SATURDAY:
>> On Thursday night Electrotease hosted a DJ afterparty for the Bright Eyes/The Faint show (did anybody go?) and tonight they’ve got DJ Andy Rourke, former bassist of The Smiths. DJs 12inch and Ca$$idy open the event at DC9. $10.

>> The 4th annual Dragon Boat Festival take place this Saturday (from 11 a.m. – 4 p.m.) and Sunday (8 a.m. – 4 p.m.) at the Thompson Boat Center. The colorful event features boats decorated as Chinese dragons racing one another over distances of 250 and 500 meters. The sport began in China more than 2,000 years ago; read the legend here.

SUNDAY:
>> The 9:30 Club has been going strong for 25 years, and they’re making sure to celebrate this weekend. For their anniversary they’re hosting the The Slickee Boys, a fun rock-a-billy group, and showing the documentary “930 F ST” – all for free! Doors are at 6 p.m.

>> This year’s National Memorial Day Concert, which takes place on the West Lawn of the U.S. Capitol, commemorates the 60th Anniversary of Iwo Jima and honors the troops. And Gary Sinise will be there! Among other entertainers. 8 p.m.
