THURSDAY:
>> Indie rockers Local H present an all-request tour at the Black Cat tonight. At the entrance, you’ll be handed a card; you’ll fill in seven songs you’d like to hear; and the songs with the most votes are guaranteed to be played. Excuse us if we fill in Local H’s cover of “Toxic” in all the slots. $12 The Giraffes open.
>> Indigo Girls will be playing a few songs in Upper Senate Park (across the street from the Russell Senate Building) at 11:30 a.m. to support low power FM. (They play Wolf Trap the night before.) Free.
FRIDAY:
>> We’ve been smitten with super-catchy-and-cute Baltimore group Karmella’s Game ever since we caught a rollicking show of theirs at the Velvet Lounge last fall. Tonight they play a costume party at the Warehouse Next Door; if you’re wearing a costume, you get entrance for $5. 9 p.m.
SATURDAY:
>> Everybody’s favorite alt-rockers, Old 97s take the stage at the 9:30 Club. Grey De Lisle (bassist Murray Hammond’s wife) and Bobby Bare Jr. open. $20.
