This DCist suggests that we just write off this week as far as classical music goes. We prefer to think about the month of September, and you can plan out your much more exciting schedule next month with our Classical Month in Washington at Ionarts. Once again, it’s all free this week, but there’s just not that much of it.

PIANO RECITALS:
>> The Church of the Epiphany (1317 G St. NW) continues to host its series of Tuesday lunchtime concerts, even at a point when just about every other regular concert series is on vacation. This Tuesday (August 30 at 12:10 p.m.) pianist Sonya Kim will give a free concert for your midday enjoyment. If you work downtown, this series is a great way to give yourself a break in the middle of the week.
