WTOP is reporting that the White House was briefly evacuated and locked down after a suspicious package was found outside a visitor’s entrance along Pennsylvania Avenue earlier this morning. Nothing came of the package, though — the all clear was given shortly after the initial evacuation.
Given recent events, local government officials can expect to hear about this next Tuesday.
