Ask, and you shall receive. Karaoke night at the Arlington hipster hangout the Galaxy Hut is back by popular demand.

Lary Hoffman, the Hut’s new owner, brings back the much loved, and missed, karaoke evening on the first Thursday of the month starting tonight at 9 p.m. For those of you that have frequented karaoke night at the Hut in the past (and this DCist is one of them) you know what we’re talking about. For those that haven’t, it’s an experience we recommend trying at least once. The crowd here doesn’t take itself too seriously, always encourages the warbling voices and things definitely tend to get a little rowdy. If you want to take a turn at the mike, get there early, sign up, and then browse the song book that includes everything from Loretta Lynn to Wham.

Oh, and a DCist tip: you can’t go wrong with “Living On A Prayer”, that’s a guaranteed barn burner.
