Tonight is the first of back-to-back nights of blogger socializing. First off, tonight the All Blog Happy Hour kicks off at 7:00 p.m. at Mackey’s Pub, while tomorrow something else is happening that slipped our mind.

We here at DCist are excited at the prospects of meeting other bloggers, readers, commenters, and passers-by. A word to the wise — don’t be surprised if we never refer to ourselves by name. We’ve managed to shed any sense of individual spirit, resorting instead to the more group-friendly “this DCist.” So, don’t be put off, it’s just the way we are. It’s cultish, but in the cutest sense of the word.
