D.C.: If you can make it here, you can make it anywhere. Wait, isn’t that New York? Regardless, 14th Street boutique Pop recently expanded to open a second location in hipster haven Williamsburg, Brooklyn (308 Grand St.).
If you’re Brooklyn-bound, on Saturday from 5 p.m. to 10 p.m. Pop is hosting a shopping party boasting DJs, drinks and discounts, which just so happen to be our three favorite “D’s.”
Even if a weekend trip on the Chinatown bus isn’t on your agenda, you still can benefit. Pop owner Sheila Sharma tells us that all winter styles are now 30% off, and everything that’s left over will be 50% off this weekend. (So, um, maybe you should wait.)
Right now you can get 50% off menswear like Modern Amusement graphic long-sleeved tees, Spiewak quilted vests and Ben Sherman pants. Let the half-off pants jokes commence. For the ladies, there’s 50% off bright Tulle tweed coats and polos from Le Tigre and Original Penguin are available in a crayon-like palette of colors that would make a first grader jealous. Plus 75% off Dollhouse jeans and denim skirts.
And for once we can tell our friends in New York that we had it here first. Not that we like to brag.
