With the news last week that uber-tagger Borf — born John Tsombikos of McLean, Virginia — was to serve one month in jail, it was only a matter of time before his supporters crawled back out of the woodwork to express their allegiance to him and his art.

And that they have, launching their own blog called “Borf Support.” To date there really isn’t a whole lot of meat to the site, but they do ask that Borf’s supporters send him mail to get him through his days at the D.C. Jail. A DCist reader did tip us off to a seemingly unrelated call that his adherents take to the street in a solidarity tagging spree:

Support can come in a number of ways, but I think the coolest and easiest would be to print out Bobby’s face by searching for “borf” at www.yourmindbetterbeblowingandsoon.com, (which is to my knowledge the only place online to get it) and cutting your own borf stencil.

Are the “Free Borf!” tags a step behind? Maybe.
