Pardon us, but our fandom is showing. Ok, so it’s showing a bit more then usual this week, but we have good reason. A savvy traveler picked up this issue of American Way magazine (check the seat pocket on your next American Airlines flight), which features an interview with local gal (and WB star) Lauren Graham. Graham, who plays the fast talking, quick witted Lorelai Gilmore on the WB’s hit pop-culture gabfest the Gilmore Girls, talks about the District being a reprise reprieve from the flightier ways of Hollywood, and generally glows with happy things to say about her home town.

DCist admits to being big fans of the show (so much so that a few DCist writers have a little gmail group dedicated to chatting about it) and we’ve been trying to find that much needed Stars Hollow-D.C. connection. And now we’ve found it.

During the interview, she mentions her favorite DC monuments and restaurants, from the Lincoln Memorial to Clyde’s of Georgetown. Graham also waxes philosphical about denim, talks about the icky summer humidity, and rates the Key Bridge as one of her favorite roads in the city. Yeah, the interview makes Graham sound just as cool as her character. As a bonus Graham also talks about being a fan of National Zoo’s pandas (circa 1972 when she lived here) Ling-Ling and Hsing-Hsing. DCist wants to know if she’s a fan of Butterstick. Then again, who isn’t? Consider her added to our ever growing list of celebs to stalk.
