The ladies of the Reliable Source break Washington’s heart this morning, revealing that Jenna Bush, who’s lived in Washington and worked as a teacher for over a year, is preparing to leave the city and the country. The Source notes that she’s moving out of her apartment and back into 1600 Penn until she’s ready to leave for a new teaching gig, somewhere in Latin America. Says the Post:

The move reflects the growing seriousness of a 24-year-old whose collegiate partying provided endless fun for gossip columnists during her father’s first years in office — yet also offers an escape from the Washington spotlight she and sister Barbara always have seemed to resent.

I don’t doubt that they do resent the spotlight, despite the fact that an enterprising individual could market a sweet D.C. bar crawl using only twin hotspots.

In any event, the District will miss one of its favorite gossip targets, and we’re curious to know where, in the scheme of Washington “fame,” such as it is, Miss Bush falls. Take our poll and tell us: who would you most like to spot around D.C.?
