We’ve known since before he was born that, like all panda cubs born in the U.S., eventually our beloved little Stick ‘o Butta would have to return to China. But honestly, stories like this make us a little wary of letting the little guy go.

A drunken Chinese migrant worker jumped into a panda enclosure at the Beijing Zoo, was bitten by the bear and retaliated by chomping down on the animal’s back, state media said Wednesday. Zhang Xinyan, from the central province of Henan, drank four jugs of beer at a restaurant near the zoo before visiting Gu Gu the panda on Tuesday

The worst part is, they are not even going to punish this guy!

It’s reassuring to know that pandas are not shy about protecting themselves from boozed-out interlopers. And judging by the mandibles of death he has locked onto his mother in this recent picture, the Stick will be no less ferocious. But still, do we really want to send a two-year-old into a loosely-supervised zoo that might be teeming with drunken panda fans?
