Rain or shine, this weekend brings opportunities to eat and drink aplenty, particularly if you’re planning on hanging out in the ‘burbs.

Taste of Bethesda
On Saturday from 11-4 along Norfolk, St. Elmo, Cordell, Del Ray, and Auburn Avenues, sample eats from 50 restaurants around Bethesda. Four tickets are $5. Jason Storch on DC Foodies says it’s a “time when hundreds flock to the streets of Bethesda to sample treats from the local restaurants like crispy samosas, soft papusas, and your typical peanut sauce encrusted chicken satays.” Maybe if we’re lucky, Ray’s the Classics will represent. Gushes Tom, “A terrific Arlington steakhouse opens a winning new outpost in Silver Spring.”

Cap City Oktoberfest
Competing for our attention tomorrow is the Capitol City Brewing Company Oktoberfest at the Village of Shirlington in Arlington from 12-7. Admission is $20. And the beer list is phenomenal, including Dogfish Head Pumpkin Ale, Abita, Brooklyn Lager, North Coast Red Seal, and Hennepin.
