Okay, DCist readers, we give you the highly-anticipated and long-awaited winner of the First Annual DCist Halloween Costume Contest: Nacho Libre! Well done, sir. Nacho had a commanding lead from the start, and ended up with over 30% of the vote. Not terribly far behind Mr. Libre were the two adorable pandas from Georgetown with 25%, and Miss. E. Coli Spinach came in a respectable third, with 18% of the readership vote.

As for the prize, well, we hope the fame and fortune this contest has afforded Nacho Libre will stand in for anything actually concrete. But I do have an eight-pound bag of candy corn lying around at my office that I would gladly give up to such a deserving entrant. Just let me know.

Thanks to all the entrants and all the voters. Though we really liked this year’s costumes, next year we really want you to bring it. Maybe we could get a Slutty Washington Monument, or a Slutty Gallaudet Protestor. Because that’d really make our day.
