Flickr user The Skipping Hippy took this great shot of The Senator Theater’s facade in Baltimore. The once popular art deco, one screen theater has hit hard times, with contractual restrictions limiting their film choices and nearby construction cutting off access to the establishment. When the news broke that the lender was planning foreclosure, an outpouring of support from the community followed, and donations to the theater’s coffers have reached over $36,000 in just a few weeks. Still short of the $93,000 needed with only eight short days left until it’s auctioned off, they’d probably love if you stopped by to see Dreamgirls this weekend, with daily showtimes at 1, 4, and 7:30 p.m. EXIF.
