Last night Catholic University student Antonella Barba was dismissed from American Idol in a cut that chose the final 12 contestants. While the judges were shocked when voters gave Jason “Sundance” Head the boot, they seemed content to let Barba go.

Much of the interest in the Capitol Hill waitress has centered around some racy pictures taken of Barba and her support from Vote for the Worst. A few weeks ago the Web site suggested Idol viewers vote for her, in some sort of attempt to stick it to the man and distort voting.
