A note to all D.C. Bloggers: Feel like getting up early tomorrow? DCist will be over at Busboys and Poets right around sunrise (thank you, Daylight Saving Time), drinking all the free coffee Fox 5 is willing to pour out at their Blogapalooza. Hard as it may be for us to believe, apparently there are still some folks out in TV Land who just can’t quite get a grip on what this whole blogging thing is all about, so Fox 5 is gathering up as many local bloggers as it can find and offering up free stimulants in exchange for a little help in the “explaining the Internet” department. Any local blogger is welcome to join in on the free coffee, conversation, and chance to get a little exposure for your blog.

Our live reports start at 6 a.m. on Fox Morning News. Brooke Baldwin will report from this internet “hot spot” so bring your laptop computer, log on and join us. Busboys & Poets will be serving free coffee during the Blogapalooza from 6:30 a.m. to 9 a.m.

We’ll explain what the blogging revolution is all about, why more and more people are blogging and show you how to create you own blog.

Aww. They need to explain the “blogging revolution.” Isn’t TV News adorable? It should be noted the event is also a once in a lifetime chance to catch this DCist editor at her most vulnerable: not quite awake and about to go on live TV. Who wouldn’t want to check that action out?

Not coincidentally, Fox 5 is also launching their own new user-generated blogging community. Check it out and let us know if you think you might want to use it.
