>> D.C. firefighters were called to the scene of an apparent spill of a toxic industrial floor stripper inside a building in the 2400 block of 17th St. NW. The building was evacuated and about 50 people complained of respiratory problems after the incident. [ABC7]

>> The victims in Wednesday night’s fatal Beltway accident have been identified as Kevin McCarter, 40, of Ft. Washington, and Sidney Clanton of Buffalo, N.Y. Fifteen injured people were also taken to area hospitals, one of them in critical condition. The accident occured as police attempted to stop a speeding motorcycle, the driver of which has still not been apprehended. [WaPo]

>> Look up tonight and see a sort-of-rare sight. It won’t actually be colorful, but it is a Blue Moon, which, if you remember from our astronomy geek-out earlier this month, is a full moon that appears twice in the same calendar month. The last one appeared in August 2004.
