>> Fort Reno continues tonight with LeJeune, Pup Tent and Engine Room. There’s a bit of a chance of isolated showers this afternoon and evening, but nothing that should prevent the free concert from going on around 7:15.

>> There’s a stand-up comedy benefit show tonight starring Seattle comic Yoram Bauman –“the world’s first and only stand-up economist” — and four local comics: Tyler Richardson, Aparna Nancherla, Jason Weems, and Erin Jackson. Shows at 7 p.m. and 9 p.m., $15 in advance, $20 at the door. Proceeds go to for Hands-On DC. At HR-57’s downstairs Riot Act Comedy club.

>> We imagine Joyce Carol Oates’ appearance at Politics and Prose tonight, where she’ll read from and sign copies of her latest novel, The Gravedigger’s Daughter, will be pretty packed, so get there well before the 7 p.m. start time to stake out a seat. CORRECTION: This event is Tuesday night

>> The seemingly endless Shakespeare in Washington Festival has at last reached its final week, and thus heads to the AFI Silver Theater. If you recently caught Studio Theater’s solid rendition of Tom Stoppard’s Rosencrantz and Guildenstern are Dead, or even if you haven’t had a chance to yet, you might consider heading to Silver Spring for a special screening of the playwright’s own brilliant film version starring Gary Oldman and Tim Roth. 9:20 p.m.
