Good morning, Washington. Flickr contributor erin m decided to walk over to the National Portrait Gallery after reading our post yesterday about the Stephen Colbert portrait hanging next to the 2nd floor bathroom and grabbed this great shot to add to the DCist Flickr Pool. Thanks, erin! We don’t think we’ve ever looked forward to relieving ourselves in a public restroom so much.

So Where’s That Wintry Mix?:The National Weather Service had us expecting to see some white on the ground when we woke up this morning, but the view from DCist HQ is decidedly gray. Capital Weather Gang is still predicting several hours of snow, but starting after 10 a.m. and lasting until around 3 p.m., when it will be replaced by freezing rain.

Six People Charged in DMV Scam: The female employee who was arrested yesterday in an FBI raid of the Georgetown service center of the D.C. Department of Motor Vehicles was one of six people charged with illegally selling driver’s licenses. No names have been released, but authorities said that only one DMV employee has been implicated, and that one of the six people arrested was a juvenile.

Briefly Noted: Old Post Office Building eyed for redevelopment … D.C. man killed in suicide attack in Afghanistan … Woman found floating in Washington Channel last night, expected to survive … Council bill would require arts education in all elementary schools.

This Day in DCist: In 2007 we wondered why the Wizards didn’t have any nice apparel for female fans like other NBA teams do, and in 2006 we pondered what the official fruit of D.C. should be.
